Women In Art Prize 2026
2026 is Women in Art Prize’s biggest year yet!
The Women In Art Prize had the pleasure of speaking with renowned French-British artist Charlotte Colbert about resilience, ambition, and navigating the art world as a female artist.
Charlotte shared inspiring advice for emerging creatives, encouraging artists not to be discouraged by rejection and never to take “no” as a final answer. Her words were a powerful reminder that persistence, confidence, and believing in your vision are essential to building a successful career in the arts.
We also discussed the incredible work of the Women in Art Prize in championing emerging female artists through mentorship, support, financial assistance, and global visibility. With a platform reaching 23 million people every month, the Prize provides invaluable exposure to some of the world’s leading arts industry experts, collectors, galleries, and internationally renowned artists.
A truly inspiring conversation celebrating creativity, resilience, and the future of women in the arts.
Photo London 2026 x WIAP
We were delighted to speak with Sophie Parker, Director of Photo London and judge of the Photography Prize for
The Women in Art Prize 2026,
about the importance of supporting emerging female photographers and the incredible opportunities the Prize creates for artists at pivotal moments in their careers.
Sophie reflected on previous Women in Art Prize winners, including Han Yan and Rona Barr,
who have gone on to secure gallery representation and exhibit at Photo London,
demonstrating how the Women in Art Prize serves as a powerful platform for visibility, recognition, and career progression within the art world.
Thank you, Sophie, for making us feel so welcome at Photo London
and for sharing your insights on this year’s Prize, your involvement as a judge, and what you most look forward to seeing in a photographer’s work.
We are excited for another inspiring year celebrating the next generation of female artistic talent.
Women In Art Prize 2025
Huge congratulations to this year’s winners: Bianca Raffaella, Emi Avora, Sally Baldwin, Rona Bar, Judy Clarkson, Annie Luke Turner, Ellis King, Helen Masacz, Gherdai Hassell, and Kirsty Bekoe Tabirinall.
It was an honour to serve as a judge alongside Arngunner Aegisdottir, Brigitta Spinocchia Freund, and Sainat Jeo. The level of talent was extraordinary, and choosing the winners was no easy task. I can’t wait to see what next year brings — so ladies, keep creating!
A heartfelt thank you to Gabrielle Du Plooy for making this non-profit prize possible and for her tireless dedication to championing female artists.
